This evaluation focuses on an individual’s suitability to possess firearms based on any issue that might prevent initial granting of a pistol permit. The cost of evaluation starts at $500 and includes all necessary paperwork that needs to be submitted to various court and county offices.
PISTOL PERMIT EVALUATIONS
These evaluations are completed following arrest for a substance-abuse related driving offense in order to assess an individual’s level of potential substance abuse, mental status, and decision making ability. Ultimately, this evaluation is completed for the purpose of determining whether an individual is in need of treatment. The cost for this evaluation is $600 which includes all needed letters and paperwork submitted to attorneys or courts. If an individual is found in need of treatment, that treatment can potentially be completed with Dr. Wright for a cost of $100 per session, or a referral can be made to an alternate clinic or provider.
OASAS IMPAIRED DRIVER
& SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVALUATIONS
These evaluations focus on level of risk, substance abuse, mental health and psychological issues, and specific types of offenses such as violent or sexual crimes. Juvenile Offender Evaluations start at $3000 while Adult Offender Evaluations start at $5000. These evaluations take approximately 30 days to complete and any expedited report submission requests require additional payment. ​
CRIMINAL COURT EVALUATIONS
These evaluations generally focus on custody, mental health, substance abuse, co-parenting, general parenting ability, safety of children, substance abuse, relocation, interference with parental roles, and/or grandparent visitation. The fee for this type of evaluation can vary and is dependent upon the number of family members being evaluated. Fees start at $3000 for one individual and $6000 for larger groups. These evaluations take 30-45 days to complete and any expedited report submission requests require additional payment.
FAMILY COURT EVALUATIONS
Dr. Wright offers traditional, open-ended therapy to children only, usually focusing on specific specialization in domestic conflict, past or recent trauma, and children involved in divorce. This is the only service offered on a sliding scale and generally ranges from $30-$100 per hour.
CHILD THERAPY
Individual treatment is offered to both adults and children focusing on trauma or conflict. This treatment is based on establishing a safe therapeutic space in which an adult or child can begin to process the trauma they’ve experienced and work towards improved psychological functioning. The cost of these sessions is determined via sliding scale ranging from $50 to $100 per session.
INDIVIDUAL TREATMENT FOCUSING ON TRAUMA
Case consultation and testimony is available at an hourly cost of $200 per hour depending on case complexity and need.
EXPERT WITNESS TESTIMONY/CONSULTATION​
School workshops are offered for elementary, middle, and high school students of varying cognitive abilities. Available workshops topics include emotional regulation, anger management, appropriate behaviors and boundaries, stress management, and bullying prevention. Workshop costs generally begin at $500 for a half-day.
SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
Dr. Wright has years of experience working with criminal and sexual offenders both pre and post-conviction. Two group treatment programs are currently offered in the Fishkill Location. In order to be enrolled in either group, individuals must meet with Dr. Wright for an intake appointment which is priced as an additional group appointment ($30-50). As with group appointments, payment for intakes must be made upon arrival to the office.

HOME (Halting Ongoing Violence – Men’s Education): The HOME program is designed to assess and treat men who have domestically abused their partners or children. This intervention program follows guidelines developed by the Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Behaviors identified can include all forms of physical violence, stalking, criminal contempt, and exhibiting power and control issues. This 26-week program (of which participants MUST attend 24 sessions) follows a curriculum that focuses on taking responsibility for crimes committed, being held accountable, deconstructing criminal thinking, learning positive interpersonal relationship skills, and preventing future violence by implementing new and healthier coping strategies. The cost for this group is usually $30 per session (payable by cash or card) which must be paid prior to entering the group room. This group cannot be paid via insurance. This group can accommodate up to 10 individuals and occurs on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-8pm

PATH (Processing Anger Through Health): The PATH program is designed to assess and treat men or women who have displayed aggressive, assaultive, hostile, or explosive behavior that has resulted in some sort of community agency involvement or legal action. This 16-week program (of which participants MUST attend 14 sessions) follows a curriculum that focuses on stress reduction through increasing overall wellness, anger management, conflict resolution, increasing social skills, and cognitive restructuring to alter entrenched behavioral responses. The cost for this group is usually $30 per session (payable by cash or card) which must be paid prior to entering the group room. This group cannot be paid via insurance. This group can accommodate up to 10 individuals and occurs on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8pm.

DOT SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVALUATIONS
These evaluations focus on public safety in relation to a DOT employee’s substance abuse history and recent use. This evaluation is completed in order to complete a necessary treatment plan which will allow the employee to return to their employment. The cost for this evaluation is $750 unless it is paid for by an employer. The cost for this evaluation is $750 and includes all appointments, letters to employers, referrals, and follow up documentation.
